I love my drums, and I love the Medicine they make in the hands of their carriers. This phrase comes from the old ones when they spoke of the Pipe. “We don’t carry the Pipe, the Pipe carries us.” I feel the same about the Drum.

A bit about the Drum - It is made in the old way with a continuous Elk lace holding the skin on the Cedar frame with 64 holes. This aspect is very important because it creates structural integrity. The 8-pointed star with a custom made handhold, and custom drilled Deer Antler beads (an option) is separately laced and not structural. For most drums you see online, the skin is laced on with 16 holes, and if the lacing/handhold pops, you lose the Drum. It takes considerably longer to make my Drum, but my core value in creating it, is to help you connect with its Medicine, and to create a Drum with quality and endurance so you can hand it to your heirs.
